The journey from English as a Second Language Teacher to Coder.

  • 2005 - 2006

    China

    The start of the journey. I spent 13 months in China teaching English, drama, and choir to multiple age groups - small children to adults.

  • 2007 - 2009

    Poland & Australia

    I spent two years living and working in Mragowo, Poland. There I taught English to all ages - small children to adults, general English to what is known as Exam classes.

    After Poland, I spent some time in Cairns, Australia, teaching at an English school there.

  • 2010 - 2012

    Master of Applied Linguistics(TESOL) - The University of Queensland

    From 2010 - 2012, I studied a Masters of Applied Linguistics(TESOL) at the Univeristy of Queensland, St. Lucia campus. What is language? How is it formed? How do people learn language? What's going on in their minds when they study a language? This is what I studied over those three years.

  • 2012 - 2016

    Post Graduation

    I worked at several schools over this period. At my main school, I was involved with a University preparation course. As well as this, I also taught Exam classes and general English as well.
